This painting represents a friendship and the impression that was made on me when we met. Green Bean was fresh out of Alaska and told us of tales, telling how as he canoed downstream on Alaskan waters with the northern lights overhead, he played his saxophone and it was as if the notes he played were conducting the movement of the lights.
